MEET THE WOOF SQUAD
Leader of the Pack
Canine Nutrition & Behavior Specialist
Lover of ALL THINGS CANINE! A mother of 7 including 5 fur babies and a host of extended pup children through my clients & rescue Woof Houze Canine Rescue. I've spent most of my life bettering the health & wellness of humans and now I've shifted my focus onto canines. I have a bachelors in exercise science & kinesiology from Robert Morris University, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu completing studies on Classical Cuisine and Nutrition. As well as a Certified Dog Trainer & Behavior Consultant. In regards to Canine Nutrition, I have certifications from DNM Dogs Naturally University in:
Raw Food Nutrition
Pet Food Nutrition Specialist
Advanced Canine Nutrition Specialist
Acute Canine Herbalism Specialist
I'm currently enrolled with Unity University's Graduate Program in Advanced Canine Health & Behavior with goals of attaining my PhD, wish me luck lol. I also hold a CPCR (CPR) certification from Pet Tech as well as working with Denise Fleck of Sunny Dog Inc. to assist you in the knowledge to help your furry family member in a health crisis. After owning canines for over 25 years I've also spent many years elevating my mind to understand canines, with some help from Lynn McKenzie's Animal Communication and Healing. I'm pleased to say my time training people is now centered around you understanding your fur baby mentally, emotionally, and physically. I'm also an AKC Evaluator for S.T.A.R Puppy, Canine Good Citizen, AKC Community Canine, Urban CGC, Home Manners, & Trick Dog Tests. Most recently I've completed my certifications for the level 1 AKC FIT Dog Instructor and ATT Temperament Testing Evaluator.
My goal is to raise the standards in the dog-training industry as I advocate for the latest in scientific understanding of dog behavior while balancing this approach with twenty-first century ethics. A strong proponent of positive reinforcement dog training, I hope to spread the message that people shouldn’t treat their dogs like members of a pack because these domesticated animals are a far cry from the ancient wolves they descended from. Also, rather than relying on a
one-size-fits dog methodology, my fresh, positive approach allows people to tailor their training to their dog's unique personality, energy level, the families' lifestyle which is leading to quicker results and a much happier pet. I am now fully invested in my number one passion "CANINES" learning their language and understanding their behavior. I believe in developing a mutual understanding between you and your pet, because caring for an animal in your home is as much about responsibility as it is about love and caring for your child. I specialize in Fear & Anxiety Correction, Aggression and Obedience.
I am approved through many positive reinforcement organizations as well as all of my interactions with your pet being a part of the LIMA Method.
Use of LIMA method What Is LIMA?
“LIMA” is an acronym for the phrase “least intrusive, minimally aversive.” LIMA describes a trainer or behavior consultant who uses the least intrusive, minimally aversive strategy out of a set of humane and effective tactics likely to succeed in achieving a training or behavior change objective. I am honored to belong to some great organizations that you can see below.

Hey there! My names Amanda Rush, I was born in Portsmouth VA, raised in Stafford VA, and currently residing in Oak Ridge,TN! I’ve had a strong will & passion to be a dog advocate since as far back as I can remember! I use to be called “pet nanny 911” to the neighborhood families, I would watch their dogs on vacation, walk them after school, and even trained one dog when I was 10 years old, just basic sit, down, come! I have been a Positive Reinforcement Basic Obedience Trainer for over 8 years. My knowledge grows everyday, but as it should, I love to share my knowledge about people’s beloved animals so they can better understand how to help them all live peacefully, and happily! I have 8 dogs & a cat of my own, run a rescue, and continue the same passion that I had back during my childhood! I'm so happy to have trained under Woof Houze and Adia to assist in furthering my education & knowledge to be my best for you and your pup.
Lindsay brings forward 23 years of experience as a grooming stylist. Additionally, has experience working with all breeds large and small.
In my personal life I’m a wife and mom of 2 children. I have two fur babies and a array of roosters and chickens. They are definitely this woman’s best friend! I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to be their mom! My fur babies are my passion and to be honest, just like Tonya I have more pictures of them on my phone than my children as well lol.
I'm excited at the opportunity to help you and your pup by answering any questions as a Fear Free Grooming Specialist. My goal is to create an experience that will have your fur baby looking and feeling great, confident and excited to visit us at Woof Houze.
