MEET THE WOOF SQUAD
Leader of the Pack & Founder

Lover of ALL THINGS CANINE! A mother of 7 including 5 fur babies and a host of extended pup children through my clients & rescue Woof Houze Canine Rescue (pending 501c3). I've spent most of my life bettering the health & wellness of humans and now I've shifted my focus onto canines. I’m a CPDT and Certified Dog Behavior Consultant ,CBDC with Catch Canine Trainers Academy. In regards to Canine Nutrition, I have certifications from DNM Dogs Naturally University in:
-
Raw Food Nutrition
-
Pet Food Nutrition Specialist
-
Advanced Canine Nutrition Specialist
-
Acute Canine Herbalism Specialist
I'm currently enrolled with Unity University's Graduate Program in Advanced Canine Health & Behavior with goals of attaining my PhD, wish me luck lol. While also completing my diploma is Animal Osteopathy through London College of Animal Osteopathy. I will specialize in Canine & Equine. I also hold a CPCR (CPR) certification from Pet Tech as well as working with Denise Fleck of Sunny Dog Inc. to assist you in the knowledge to help your furry family member in a health crisis. After having canines for over 25 years I've also spent many years elevating my mind to understand canines, with some help from Lynn McKenzie's Animal Communication and Healing. I'm pleased to say my time training people is now centered around you understanding your fur baby mentally, emotionally, and physically. I'm also an AKC Evaluator for S.T.A.R Puppy, Canine Good Citizen, AKC Community Canine, Urban CGC, Home Manners, & Trick Dog Tests. Most recently I've completed my certifications for the level 1 AKC FIT Dog Instructor and ATT Temperament Testing Evaluator.
I am also very thankful to assist individuals in becoming canine trainers as a Training Mentor with Catch Canine Trainers Academy and Animal Behavior College.
My goal is to raise the standards in the dog-training industry as I advocate for the latest in scientific understanding of dog behavior while balancing this approach with twenty-first century ethics. I Do Not believe in or support E-Collar training, Prong, Martingale, Halti and or Easy Walk tools for companion animals. A strong proponent of positive reinforcement dog training, I hope to spread the message that people shouldn’t treat their dogs like members of a pack because these domesticated animals are a far cry from the ancient wolves they descended from. Also, rather than relying on a one-size-fits dog methodology, my fresh, positive approach allows people to tailor their training to their dog's unique personality, energy level, the families' lifestyle which is leading to quicker results and a much happier pet. I am now fully invested in my number one passion "CANINES" learning their language and understanding their behavior. I believe in developing a mutual understanding between you and your pet, because caring for an animal in your home is as much about responsibility as it is about love and caring for your child. I specialize in Anxiety & various types of Fear and or Aggression to include bite history as well as helping you to understand your canine without compromising the biological instincts. As well as canines with hearing or vision loss.
I am approved through many positive reinforcement organizations as well as all of my interactions with your pet being a part of the LIMA Method.
Use of LIMA method What Is LIMA?
“LIMA” is an acronym for the phrase “least intrusive, minimally aversive.” LIMA describes a trainer or behavior consultant who uses the least intrusive, minimally aversive strategy out of a set of humane and effective tactics likely to succeed in achieving a training or behavior change objective. I am honored to belong to some great organizations that you can see below.

I have been involved in the animal welfare field for over 10 years, but have had rescue dogs my entire life. I am currently owned by 3 amazing rescues, all of whom have had such a huge impact on me. I started my journey thinking that veterinary care would be my way of helping, but ultimately was drawn to humane society/rescue work. It was there that I found my foster fail, Loki. He came to us as a four-month-old feral street dog who had never had any human interaction. With that came a slew of behavioral and emotional hurdles to overcome, and it was through that, that I found my true passion for helping animals. While my experience in the field ranges from veterinary care to animal shelters, training, and fostering, the motivation behind it all has remained the same; to help animals find and stay in their forever homes.

Canine Coach & Bark Shop Manager
My fondness for canines and training began at a very young age. Being a part of the team at Woof Houze has allowed me to grow and learn in a positive environment. I specialize is youth training ages 3-16. Helping kids to understand the importance of respecting a canines space and proper handling. I also train in basic to advance obedience and trick. I'm working towards attaining my degree in Animal Behavior.
I'm excited that I get the opportunity to be involved in the education system with our Did You Know Series. We discuss important topics with elementary through high school students on the importance of a respectful relationship with their furry companion. I look forward to seeing you in the Houze!
