Pack Walk & Train
It’s not just a dog walk; our pack walk & train are also a social experience. We want to fulfill your dog’s physical and mental & training needs by socializing them in a safe and structured way. We believe one of the best ways to achieve Balance and Harmony is to honor a dog’s primal instincts of migration with the pack walk. We walk in groups of 4 to ensure we can provide our attention to all pups & parents. Each session lasts about 45mins. We will train basic and some intermediate commands with verbal and physical cues in environments with distractions. Each membership is a 4-month commitment.
We socialize each and every dog to be part of the pack walk. If you are interested in pack walks but don’t know if your dog is a good candidate based on behavior, we can assist with private training needs prior to introducing them to the rest of the pack. Many of our clients didn’t think it was possible to have their dog socialize with others. Let us help!
What is a pack walk? How does it differ from a regular walk?
A pack walk & train, or a group dog walk, is more than just a typical potty break or midday exercise – it’s a social training experience for your dog! The pack walk is one of the greatest tools we have as a human to provide for our dog in the way that makes the most sense to them. Pack walks tap into a dog’s instinctual behavior; it’s how dogs are meant to socialize with one another, how they travel, explore, and learn about their environment in a safe but structured way. Through pack walks, dogs learn to rely on their human leader to guide them, keep them safe, and create a balanced, calm mindset in which they can trust one another.
What's the process of getting my dog to be part of the pack? Is there a wait list? What is required?
It’s very simple! The first step is to schedule a time for our trainer and pack walker to meet you and your dog. At this time we’ll address your concerns and goals for your dog, working hands-on with your dog to assist with any behavioral needs and improve your relationship. The goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to implement safe, calm walks at home, too! We will review dog psychology, our training methods, and strategies that our pack leaders use to ensure you feel equipped to handle your own pack. During that training session, we will be able to determine if your dog is a good candidate for pack walks, or make recommendations to help your dog achieve that goal. Your dog’s behavior, age, or medical history may affect their eligibility for pack walks, and our trainer will be able to help you determine together whether they are the best fit.
We do occasionally have open spots in our pack, depending on waitlist length. Please email us to inquire about availability! Give us a woof to bark@woofhouze.com.
All pack walk clients must provide proof of Rabies, DHPP (parvo/distemper), and Bordetella vaccinations.
