For Dogs With Big Feelings

Our Approach

We don’t begin by asking:

“How do we stop the behavior?”

We begin with:

“Why is this happening?”

Led by Adia, a canine behavior professional with nearly three decades of experience, this work is centered on helping guardians understand the dog in front of them and build a safer, stronger way forward together.

Start With a Guided Guardian Session

Meet Adia

THE WORK HAS CHANGED

I’m Listening…

This Isn’t Traditional Dog Training

After 26 years of teaching and training dogs, Adia stepped away from long-term training programs.

Today, the focus is on teaching the human.

Understanding your dog’s history.

Recognizing patterns.

Looking at health and environment.

Creating management.

Strengthening relationship.

The why before the how.

Guided Guardian Session™

History + Management

90 Minutes | In Person at RWC

Every behavior case begins here.

Before we ask your dog to do anything differently, we need to understand what has brought you both to this point.

Together, we’ll look at:

  • Behavioral history

  • Reactive responses toward dogs and/or people

  • Environment and daily life

  • Relationships and communication

  • Known triggers and patterns

  • Previous training or interventions

  • Current management

  • Health changes that may influence behavior

  • What you’ve already tried

  • What needs to change right now

You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of the dog in front of you and an initial management path forward.

Sometimes Behavior Starts Somewhere Else

Behavior does not exist separately from the body.

Pain, digestive discomfort, mobility, sleep, medications, nutrition, hormonal changes and other health factors can influence how a dog experiences and responds to the world.

For some dogs, the next step may be developing their Health Story™ or Wellness Blueprint before we move further into behavior work.

That isn’t delaying the work.

If More Guidance Is Needed

Guided Behavior Sessions

Not every family needs ongoing sessions.

After your History + Management visit, Adia may recommend focused guardian coaching to help you apply what you’ve learned in real-life situations.

These sessions may include:

  • Reading and responding to your dog’s communication

  • Environmental setup and management

  • Working through reactive responses

  • Building safer introductions

  • Guardian handling skills

  • Relationship and trust-building

  • Practical strategies for everyday life

Maximum commitment: four guided sessions.

All regular behavior sessions take place at Rewilded Wellness Center™.

We do not offer in-home behavior sessions, unless the behavior is home based.

WHEN SOMETHING SERIOUS HAS

ALREADY HAPPENED

Has Your Dog Bitten Someone?

If Animal Control has become involved, you’ve received a summons, your dog has been accused of a serious bite or attack, or you’re preparing for a court-related matter, this requires a different level of assessment.

Canine Incident Case Review

A structured two-part behavioral case review that includes an RWC consultation, required in-environment assessment, and comprehensive written report with professional observations and recommendations to support your case.

Your dog is not a list of behaviors to eliminate.

There is a history behind what you’re seeing.

There is communication happening.

And there is a relationship worth understanding.
