Passionate Canine Professional specializing in behavior, nutrition, and health. With over 25 years of experience, I've dedicated myself to understanding and improving the lives of canines. As a CPDT and Certified Dog Behavior Consultant, I've shifted my focus from human wellness to canine wellbeing. My expertise spans various certifications, including Raw Food Nutrition, Pet Food Nutrition Specialist, Advanced Canine Nutrition, and Acute Canine Herbalism from Dogs Naturally University. Currently pursuing a Graduate Program in Advanced Canine Health & Behavior at Unity University, aiming for a PhD, and completing Animal Osteopathy at the London College of Animal Osteopathy, specializing in Canine & Equine. Equipped with certifications in CPR from Pet Tech and training from Sunny Dog Inc., I strive to aid pet owners in health crises. My background includes training at Catch Canine Trainers Academy and Animal Behavior College, where I serve as a Training Mentor, fostering new talent in canine training. As an advocate for modern, ethical canine training methods, I emphasize positive reinforcement while rejecting tools like E-Collars, Prongs, Haltis, or Easy Walks. My approach respects the individuality of each canine, tailoring training to their personality, energy, and family lifestyle, yielding faster results and happier pets. Specializing in anxiety, various fears, aggression, and sensory impairments in canines, I believe in understanding their behavior without compromising their instincts. I operate within the LIMA method—Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive—ensuring humane and effective strategies in behavior modification. A proud member of esteemed organizations such as APDT, Pet Professional Guild, IAABC Foundation, Shock Free Coalition, and Fear Free Pets, I am committed to raising industry standards and advocating for the well-being of our furry companions. All Canine Coaches complete a rigorous program led by Adia to accomplish the understanding of force free methods to aid in the success of the canine and their families. All are certified and/or have university education in the field of Animal Behavior.

Hi there! I'm Shaina, and I'm thrilled to be a part of the Woof Houze team as a puppy coaching specialist. From a young age, my love for canines has been unwavering, and my passion for canine training has been ingrained in me since day one. My journey in the world of canine training began in Florida as a kennel attendant. For over 2 years, I had the privilege of working closely with canines of all breeds and behavioral traits. It was during this time that I realized my true calling and decided to take my passion for training to the next level. Eager to expand my knowledge and gain hands-on experience, I embarked on an apprenticeship. This incredible opportunity allowed me to work alongside experienced professionals, learning various training techniques and methods. Working with a diverse range of breeds and behavioral traits further deepened my understanding of canine behavior and training. One of my proudest accomplishments is my own rescue pup, Maverick. Through dedicated training efforts, Maverick has excelled in agility, obedience, and dock diving competitions. Training him has not only been a joyous experience but has also provided me with valuable insights into the nuances of training and behavior modification. Specializing in puppy coaching, I am equipped with a wealth of knowledge and experience to guide canine owners in raising well-behaved and balanced puppies. Meet Raina, a valued member of the Bark Patrol team at Woof Houze. With her exceptional skills, Raina specializes in providing support and assistance to canines struggling with anxiety and fears. Through her gentle and patient approach, Raina helps dogs build trust and confidence, enabling them to succeed in their training endeavors. Additionally, Raina has a remarkable ability to help puppies come out of their shells, fostering their socialization and helping them develop into well-rounded individuals. Her dedication and expertise make Raina an invaluable asset to our team, ensuring that every canine receives the care and attention they need to thrive.

HEIDI
Heidi is a graduate of CATCH Canine Trainers Academy earning the title Certified Dog Trainer (CDT). Heidi began training dogs at her local shelter while volunteering where many of the dogs became better candidates for adoptions simply by teaching them a few basic obedience skills. She realized how rewarding it is to help dogs and dog owners and wanted to do more. Her experience working with dogs and their guardians ranges from supervising dog play groups, providing private training lessons and teaching group classes to working as a trainer and behavior associate at the Richmond SPCA. She has three rescue dogs of her own, Autumn, a Staffordshire/Bulldog mix, Shrek, an American Bully/Bulldog Mix, and Meeko, a through and through mutt. Heidi is a voracious learner; learning as much as there is about dog training and behavior by attending workshops, seminars, classes and shadowing experienced trainers. Recently she completed two of Pat Miller’s Dog Trainer Academies and is striving to become a certified trainer through the Certification Counsel of Professional Dog Trainers. Heidi loves taking her dogs on regular hikes in the Shenandoah mountains, National Forests, and different parks in the area to keep her pups exercised and happy. Heidi never misses a training opportunity with her own dogs, it is part of her daily routine to add just a few minutes of training to maintain what her dogs have learned.
Hi, I'm Oliva! I’m super excited to be apart of the Woof Houze team as a canine coach. My love for dogs began in my teenage years when I adopted my first dog, Darla. Since I was in school, my psychology course is what helped me learn how valuable positive reinforcement can be for training. A couple years later when my family rescued another dog, I then realized I wanted to pursue dog training for a living. I was grateful to find Petco and their training program. During my 2 years training with them, I worked with various breeds, temperaments, and people. Being able to see so many relationships change because of training has deepened my love and passion for the work. Since training at Petco, I've dedicated myself to understanding the intricacies of canine behavior and training. I’ve been able to work with other experienced trainers and families to learn and practice different training techniques. My belief is that every dog has the potential to be an incredible companion. Through patience, consistent communication, and a tailored approach to each unique situation, I've helped transform the relationship between countless dogs and their humans. My methods are built on the foundation of mutual respect, trust, and communication aiming to strengthen the bond you share with your dog. Whether you're struggling with obedience or behavioral challenges or simply seeking to build a better connection with your pet, I'm here to support you. My experience spans a wide range of situations and environments, equipping me with the tools to guide you and your dog towards a harmonious life together.
