OUR FOUNDER

Adia Shanee brings over 25 years of applied field experience representing more than 30,000 hours of direct behavioral casework in canine behavior and the human–canine bond. Her expertise was not built in a classroom. It was built through decades of assessment, implementation, pattern recognition, and measurable outcomes across complex family systems.

Her early career included navigating high-risk and behaviorally escalated cases work that required precision, steadiness, and a deep understanding of stress physiology. Over time, her work evolved beyond crisis response into proactive behavioral architecture designing systems that prevent escalation before it occurs.

Adia specializes in comprehensive safety and management strategy for the modern-day dog. She examines nervous system regulation, environmental structure, relational dynamics, and risk variables before recommending intervention. Her work is analytical, intentional, and grounded in biological reality not ideological trends.

The modern environment has changed. Dogs are overstimulated, under-regulated, and often expected to comply within systems never designed for their biology. Adia’s work addresses that mismatch directly.

In an industry that has historically lacked diversity, she has built and sustained a decades-long career grounded in resilience, adaptability, and applied behavioral depth bringing a perspective that prioritizes empathy, cultural awareness, and relational intelligence without sacrificing structure or standards.

She is the founder of Woof Houze and WagTime™, author of Nature Therapy, contributor to Spotsylvania Living Magazine, and Editor of The Guardian Guide.

She works intentionally with a limited number of families each quarter to ensure depth, precision, and sustainable outcomes. Adia works best with those who are ready to look beyond surface-level obedience and examine the full system influencing behavior.

Her clients are often thoughtful, capable individuals who feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice and are seeking clarity grounded in biology, structure, and long-term stability. They are willing to adjust environments, shift patterns, and participate actively in the process rather than outsource responsibility. If you are looking for quick fixes or performance-based training, her work may not be the right fit. If you are ready for depth, structure, and measurable change, you will feel at home here.

Her philosophy remains steady:

Behavior is not the enemy. It’s the invitation.

Our work is grounded in emotional safety, nervous-system awareness, and relationship over performance.

How We Support Dogs

  • Nervous-system safety

  • Consent-based handling

  • Relationship building

  • Nature-aligned experiences

  • Observation before correction

  • Emotional literacy

  • Muzzle advocacy through BraveFace™

Our Enrichment Philosophy: The N.A.T.U.R.E.™ Framework

At Woof Houze, we support instinctual fulfillment through a rewilded approach that honors each dog’s emotional, biological, and sensory needs.

Our team uses the N.A.T.U.R.E.™ Framework — Natural Activities That Unlock Rewilded Expression — to guide enrichment in the Private & Group Coaching, Academy, WagTime, and the Woof Lounge.

  • No flooding or forced socialization

  • No suppression-based techniques

We do not use aversive methods. Period.

WHY WE EXSIST

Woof Houze was created for the dogs who don’t fit traditional training or daycare models the tender ones, the unsure ones, the ones who feel deeply.

The dogs who need time, warmth, and space.

The guardians who want to understand the animal in front of them not dominate them.

We help dogs learn how to feel safe in their bodies, confident in their choices, and comfortable in new spaces while supporting guardians through the emotional part of the journey.

Because when dogs feel safe, everything else becomes possible.

WE BELIEVE

We believe all dogs deserve:

• Safety

• Agency

• Connection

• Community

• Behavior is communication

• Nervous systems must feel safe first

• Confidence grows through supported exposure

• Guardians deserve guidance, not shame

We’re here because dogs are like people too just in fur.

OUR APPROACH

Connection > Correction

Safety > Speed

Learning > Compliance

Compassion > Control

We don’t demand.

We don’t suppress.

We support, guide, and help dogs become themselves.

At their pace.

In their bodies.

With their guardians beside them.

This is more than a facility.

It’s rebellion. It’s a return. It’s rewilding.

We exist for guardians who want more than obedience.
